Hanako Kato joined Minolta (now Konica Minolta) in 1997 and began her career in overseas OEM sales and management of international sales companies. She later led global supply chain initiatives, improving lead times and reducing inventory.

From 2012, she drove business innovation, focusing on process improvement, organizational reform, and quality enhancement, leading company-wide transformation efforts.
Between 2018 and 2024, she served as Head of Corporate Functions at the Asia regional headquarters, overseeing areas such as finance, IT, HR, and governance. She promoted operational efficiency, standardization, and system integration, including initiatives like core system development, RPA implementation, and shared service centers.

Appointed Executive Officer in 2023, she is currently focused on integrating processes and technology, modernizing IT infrastructure for the AI era, and strengthening information security.
