Konica Minolta Named to Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the First Time: Renowned Socially Responsible Investment Index Gives Global Recognition
Tokyo (September 18, 2012) - Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc. (Konica Minolta) has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) for the first time in recognition of its economic, environmental and social performance.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) are the first global sustainability indexes provided by Dow Jones and SAM (Sustainable Asset Management) Group, the Switzerland-based sustainability investment company, to assess corporate sustainability from economic, environmental and social developments. In the annual DJSI review of the world’s 2,500 companies, 340 companies have been listed in the DJSI World and, within the list, 20 are Japanese companies including Konica Minolta.
Konica Minolta has also been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index (DJSI Asia Pacific) for the fourth consecutive year.
