Konica Minolta Acquires Managed IT Services Practice of Techcare, LLC to Further Strengthen IT Services Business
Tokyo (May 19, 2011) - Konica Minolta Business Technologies, Inc. (Konica Minolta) announced that the company has acquired managed information technology (IT) services practice of Techcare, LLC, an American firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, through Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (KMBUS), an operating subsidiary based in Ramsey, New Jersey, of the company.
Konica Minolta acquired All Covered, Inc., an IT services company in the U.S.A., in December 2010, in an effort to enhance its IT services business in North America.
Techcare has been providing Managed IT Services in Chicago for more than 20 years and has a strong presence in the educational sector, a major vertical market specialty practice for KMBUS.
Combining rich, specialized assets and know-how accumulated by Techcare with the IT services business based on practice by All Covered, Konica Minolta is willing to accelerate to a greater extent its growth in the IT services segment at KMBUS.
Furthermore on a global scale, Konica Minolta continues to upgrade its offerings and provide an even wider scope of services to merge IT and document management, including Optimized Print Services for cost reduction and productivity improvement through management of enterprise output and document environment.
