Konica Minolta Included in FTSE4Good Global Index for Eighth Consecutive Year:
International Recognition by Socially Responsible Investment Index Continues

Tokyo (April 7, 2011) - Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc. (Konica Minolta) is pleased to announce that the company has been included in the FTSE4Good Global Index by the FTSE International (FTSE) in the UK, one of the best known indices in the world for socially responsible investment (SRI) communities. This is the eighth year in a row that Konica Minolta earned this recognition.

The FTSE4Good Global is provided by FTSE, an independent company jointly owned by The Financial Times and London Stock Exchange Group. Corporations around the world are evaluated on criteria such as environment, social and corporate governance and only those which meet strict standards are included in the index to be supplied as selection reference for investors and SRI funds with extensive interest in CSR and sustainability performance. That will help investors choose to invest in companies that take actions for environmental protection, develop friendly relations with stakeholders, work on internationally common human rights protection, and meet a series of globally recognized social responsibility standards.

Konica Minolta regards corporate social responsibility (CSR) as corporate management itself and aims at pursuing and creating “new values” sought by the society. The company's group-wide efforts, including mid- to long-term initiatives to reduce environmental impact and strengthening corporate governance, have been recognized as a leading company that promotes CSR on a global scale.

Besides the FTSE4Good Global Index, Konica Minolta has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index by Dow Jones and Switzerland-based SAM (Sustainable Asset Management) Group and the Japan-based Morningstar Socially Responsible Investment Index. The company has also been recognized with SAM Sliver Class for two years in a row and selected in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations by Canada-based Corporate Knights Inc.

Through development of innovative technologies, Konica Minolta will continue efforts to create new businesses that help global environment and contribute to sustainable development of human society.
